Honduras Missions Trip

Honduras Missions Trip

Leader: John Novak

Once a year, a group of people from our church and other churches organize a medical mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for the period of one week. The purpose of this mission trip is to provide medical treatment to the poor of Tegucigalpa who rarely have access to doctors, dentists or optometrists. We also treat children for head lice. We anticipate treating 2000 patients during our ministry outreach and sharing the Gospel with thousands. We will also pour several concrete floors where there was once dirt and a latrine or two, time and money permitting. Our team will consists of a physician, at least three dentists, two opticians, several nurses, and non professional medical team members ranging from age 14 to senior citizens as support help.

The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the mission trip. This includes all of the medical supplies, medicines, bandages, etc. Fund-raisers are being held by those going on the trip. Every penny collected will be used to directly benefit the children and the poor of Honduras. Any unused supplies will be left with World Gospel Outreach (WGO).

We are excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister to the people of Tegucigalpa and we ask you to join us in this ministry by praying for this mission trip.
